09:34 am - Relaxicon Report
Just got back from Relaxicon, played two LARPs and ran one. Also was part of a LARP roundtable with Matt Ruane, John Corradin, and Gordon Olmstead-Dea...

Breaking News! Breaking News! Breaking News! Breaking News! Breaking News! Breaking News! Breaking News!

An entirely new card game is now available on the Interactivities Ink website, a new game based on a song by the eminent Jonathan Coulton!

But wait, you may be wondering why it is time critical for you to download and print this card game within the next two weeks. (Click here to download the game).

Well, that’s because it is based on the fine song, The First of May (click to listen; not safe for work). Travel around the park and f*ck everyone who needs f*cking. The player who f*cks the most people wins!

Download and print the game now! and then play it on the First of May.

Here are some safe for work sample cards:

And now we return to our regularly scheduled convention report already in progress.

…nd smashed a chair right across his goddamn face! It was truly the best LARP roundtable I’ve ever attended.

It'll work with any business card stock for laser printers (for the cards). The character sheets and game board can be printed on normal paper.

This is not a card game. This is a LARP, but Mike just doesn't want to admit it, because then someone would make him run it, and the costumes would be prohibitively expensive, although many of them are readily available for purchase on the Internet.

It was pretty good, but based more for first time GMs. A lot of good, common sense points were raised. The suggestion I heard most talked about afterwards was Del's idea that before the game, she has all her GMs tell her what they think the story of the game is. It seems like a good way of making sure all the GMs are on the same page.

Also, someone got a facechair. Blood spurted everywhere! Way cool!

Oh, how was Matt Ruane anyway? I haven't seen him in years.

He was well. We didn't spend a lot of time catching up, but he seemed to be doing ok. He's moved to Florida.
