10:01 am - Winnowing Done... Mostly
So, at the beginning of the month, we had 150 or so randomly assigned primary and secondary characters for Lullaby of Broadway.
Over the course of December, through much discussing and debate, we tried to get closer to our target player count of 75.
Yesterday morning, after having reviewed all potential shows, we were at a tightly plotted game for 88 players. After dropping three more shows, we were down to 78. Some more machinations were done to get us to 76, but I'd rather do the 78 player game; it would be much richer. Heck, even 77 players would mean the Jets and the T-Birds were two different gangs.
The numbers work out. We have 59 people signed up for the game. I know there are 4 more people definitely planning to play, leaving us with 63 confirmed. I have a little list of 16 more people who will hopefully sign up with a little prompting. I don't know if they all will, but between them and random people who I don't even know about, I'm sure we can get to 77, hopefully 78. For those who care, the prompting will begin next week. If you sign up now, I won't bug you next week.

So, it's 78 characters, and the T-Birds and Jets are officially unmerged? I can stop wracking my brains to find more merges?

It is:
76 characters and they are merged.
77 characters and they are unmerged.
78 characters and they are unmerged and Riff has a girlfriend.
It depends on registration. We can make the final decision after I see how many people I can nag into playing. :)
But yes, you can stop wracking your brain to find more merges. |
