09:50 am - Wachovia epilogue:
Hopefully it’s over. On Wednesday morning I received a call from my financial advisor that the money had been credited back into my account and sure enough it was there. It still is. Good. My financial advisor admonished me for not going to her to begin with and she’s right. She cut through the red tape in a way no mere mortal could.

For example, I received a letter from Wachovia on Saturday which reads:
Thank you for your recent inquiry regarding a 24-Hrs Banking Card deposit attempted on 10/21/2008. You reported that the deposit had not been credited to your account.

We have researched your account and have contacted our Reconciliation Department. Because the contents of your deposit have been verified as $150.00, we cannot credit your account in the full amount of $1650.00

Sincerely,

L. Mynah

So, can you find three errors in the letter above? First to find all three wins a No-Prize.

$50 not $150
$1550 not $1650

Can't find the third.

My deposit was on the 17th.

Oh, and I never claimed that it hadn't been credited to my account. I claimed it was debited from my account later.

Wow, I'm impressed that the Mynah bird can write now.
Usually they just parrot SOUNDS.

The only thing I would change if I was you is my friggin' bank.
Take that money and put it somewhere safe!

Nope, nope, there was one more error. She signed it "Sincerely." No, it's not a typo. No, it's not a misspelling. It's merely an inaccurate word. From what I can gather, the accurate closing should have been something like "Whatever" or "Get off my back, jerkface" or something.
